| You can go to the home page of the help by the menu "Help|Help Contents" or directly with Shift+F1. |

Snowie is equipped with a context-sensitive help system as well. You can invoke the context-sensitive help just by clicking F1. The position of the cursor at that moment will trigger the help about this subject if available. This works both with panels and menu items. In the latter case, press the F1 key after selecting the menu item but before running it.

There are three main books in this help. The first book is a tutorial which guides you around the main features of the program. The second book is about the graphical user interface. All pages in this book have a rose background. The third book is about backgammon-related information. All pages in it have a yellow background.
On the top of the help window you have the following toolbar:

- Go to previous page
- Go to next page
- Go to the backgammon main page
- Increase/decrease the font size
- Go to the User Interface main page:
- Print the currently displayed page
- Change the background textures:
